TPC River’s Bend | Session II

My Return;  After finding the compositions I desired in my first morning and night of shooting, executing the final images came down to only weather. For the most part the weather cooperated and and I was able to get several quality images “of “and “from” the course. There is much more of River’s Bend I hope to photograph in the fall, and look forward to working with the staff to build an image library worthy of the PGA TOUR and the Network of TPC premier clubs.

For those who play, live, or belong to the TPC River’s Bend Golf Club please stay tuned for a limited series of fine art prints. These prints will be released through the pro shop, online line, and through my website and will be limited to only 20 prints. More information to follow from the sales and marketing staff at River’s Bend.

    TPC River’s Bend | Session 1

My approach with golf course’s / landscape photography is a little different then other subject matter. To achieve the goal of producing great images that represent the effort behind the subject, it usual takes a couple sessions in these environments. This has a lot to do with the overall size of the property and the weather! Typically, my first session I familiarize myself with the area and find compostions. Then, I return with specific images in mine in hopes to land that fine art piece that captures the beauty that is……”River’s Bend“.

    Florida | Naples & Everglades

This was a family trip with a 24 hr excursion to the Everglades.  So all in all I was very limited on when and where I got to shoot. In most cases I arrived late and left early which is never a good approach with landscape photography.  I came away with a few good images nothing to get overly excited about, but then again I maybe to critical (always excited about feedback). The Canon 5DII worked fantastic and I realize I need to bring along extra weight for my Carbon Fiber Tripod when shooting along the surf. I’m use to my old tank that barely vibrated when a rouge wave would crash into the legs. Enjoy!!
